Being a kid everyone wonders about moon and stars.
Twinkling of stars and smiling of moon, the most beautiful fantasy of the little mind.
Well, who hasn't wondered about the celestial marvels and
who hasn't experienced a sense of awe at being a part of such an infinite expanse.
When we grow up only a bunch of people finds it very much interesting.
But the beauty of moon, stars and the second world is more fascinating than fantasy.
The exploration to the unacquainted world by some inquisitive minds of
Regional Institute of Education, Mysore....
The passion of this bunch to the other world is developed as a club...
'RIEM COSMOS'

FOUNDATION
The first ever astronomy session of Regional Institute of Education Mysore was
conducted on 31st January 2018 at the night when it was a super blue moon eclipse.
The club got recognized officially on 15th of October 2018
as a part of Regional Institute of Education, Mysore.
The club was re-inaugurated on 26th September 2019
by the screening the movie 'Interstellar'. The club became the most active club in the college
Since its foundation in 2018 the 'COSMOS Club' seeks to build on that fascination
and brings innovation and passion to its vision of spreading awareness and knowledge of astronomy
and space sciences to students and community.
An idea and a bunch of ambitious young minds, together they can create wonders.
The goal is to foster an appreciation of astronomy as a natural science.
We are trying to promote amateur astronomy as well as trying to nurture interest and
awareness on the field of astronomy and space research through our events.
Astronomy is fun but it can be even more fun when you do it with other people...

Carl Sagan, one of the greatest astrophysicist of all time once quoted,
"The cosmos is within us. We are made of star stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself."
Yes, we are born to explore universe.
Through this club we want to give an opportunity to everyone
to live in the world of enigma and beauty.
